Resistance

In “Resistentiam”, we can observe a duality between the two female profiles. Each person expresses a distinct emotion, and this duality highlights the complexity of human emotions. The expressions on women's faces can be interpreted in different ways, sparking reflection and personal interpretation in the viewer. The artist used a mixed technique by transferring a monochrome image onto the profile of a woman painted in color. One of the distinctive features of this work is the use of a torn transferred image, which creates fragments and an interesting texture. This technique brings an additional dimension to the work, as it deliberately disrupts the women's profile, adding a sense of movement and dynamism. The background of the work is a light gray, which highlights the profiles of the women and creates a calm and serene atmosphere. This neutral color palette allows profile and texture details to stand out more.
