The realization of this work was troubling as a creative exercise.
I was in front of a photo of Adolph Hitler as a child. A touching image of an ordinary-looking infant, innocent and inexperienced in life.
How can a child become such an adult? I have always been puzzled by the fact that He failed two art school entrance exams. Would art have appeased his fury if he had been admitted?
I wanted to paint this child to explore the incomprehensible.
How can the particular evolution of an individual influence the history of the world to such an extent?
The motivation of my approach is probably related to my Armenian origins.
This work gave me no answer. She left me with a lot of confusion and questions.
